I have a lot of experience with room acoustics, optimizing sound systems, and generally making sound technology a more pleasant experience. It's a way I love to serve people. It also happens to be something most people dread having to do. Like myself, I can see that most people who own and use sound systems simple want them to work well in the space they have.
If you're in the Wichita area, I do sound tunings, and I would love to come help you out. If you are not local, there is a lot of help I can give over a zoom consult call, so I am willing to serve in that way as well.
Right now, I shoot on a hacked Nikon D3300. I am enjoying its natural rendering. I edit using Davinci Resolve, and after trying so many editors, I am settling into things I like about its workflow.
My passion for using video is to support other artisans.
I love the details of music. I love arrangements, I love the way each element blends together. I always have a favorite place to sit when I go to a concert. That passion and fascination is something I always carry with me when I work on sound in post-production.
I also have a passion for serving artists and helping them in the trenches of pre-production, during recording sessions. To quote Nacho Libre, I love the "nitty-gritty" of the process. Often times the best art is worth the struggle at the start, but I also believe that art does not always have to be hard.
